T he Upper Valley is still king when it comes to providing this northern edge of the Chihuahuan Desert with lush green fields, tall cottonwood trees and a bounty of wonderful plants and bushes that provide a kaleidoscope of colored flowers. And all of that is the wonder that is this beautiful oasis in the desert. But, that said, there is something about the bright, vivid and almost neon shimmer of a delicate cactus blossom.

Drive down the streets in the Upper Valley and along the asphalt where water doesn't reach from the irrigation canal you will find some wonders of the flora tucked next to the wall or gate... and they will enchant.
