ven prior to the annexation war that the City of El Paso "won" through deception and deceit; the Upper Valley had been attacked by developers and the City of El Paso for over 25 years. Yet there are still signs that the Upper Valley is still keeping some of the character of old.
The cool days of spring were long gone and the heat of summer was just around the corner. But, for the new four-legged arrivals that dotted the valley the morning sun was an invitation to play and work those spindlely legs a bit as long as Mom was near by to keep and eye out.

And so, another generation of thoroughbred, quarterhorse and mixed horses were brought into the Upper Valley family. But, where will these young horses be able to run and carry a rider with the poor planning of the City of El Paso.
There is something quiet majestic about the awkward beauty of a newly born horse rising up in the cool morning air. Almost like a sprouted bean slowly extending to the sun. These young colts and phillies have the realization that all the grace and power of their parents will be their's soon.
This is truly a wonderful sight in late spring and thus the horse breeding and keeping in the Upper Valley will continue.
