The Santa Teresa Desert Warriors football team stunned the Irvin Rockets 30-6 in the home opener at Desert Warrior Stadium before a large home and visiting crowd.
Santa Teresa used a balanced running and passing attack to score 30 points and the defense kept the Rockets on the launching pad all night.
The Desert Warriors were relentless mixing up sweeps and long passes to keep the Irvin defense on their heels.
