Satelite shows Lowell rain.

While much of the country was watching out for Hurricane Ike; Tropical Storm Lowell pumped moisture into the northwestern areas of Mexico and the Baja pennisula. The rains that resulted reached all the way into New Mexico and dumped much rain in the El Paso/Las Cruces area.
Lowell was the 12th storm in the eastern Pacific Ocean and followed a common path for storms that creep up the Mexican coast and then cut across the Baja to drench the Mexican mainland.
These storms then proceed to push moisture all the way into West Texas. El Paso received rain from Lowell for days after September 11, 2008.
