2008 La Viña Autumn Harvest Festival is the "Official" start of autumn in the Upper Valley and music and wine fans from West Texas and Southern New Mexico mix just as smoothly as the fun, music and fruit of the vine. You don't want to miss this annual rite of fall... remember, it's only every autumn.

La Viña winery presents its Harvest Festival Saturday, October 18 and
Sunday October 19, 2008 from noon to 7 p.m. Over 20 wines will be
available for tasting and purchase. Adult admission to the festival is
$10
and includes a souvenir glass and a choice of 6 wines or a glass of
wine.
There is a $5 admission for 12-20 years of age and those under the age
of 12
will be admitted free.
Tents, tables and chairs are provided for your enjoyment on the beautiful lawn making this a music in the
park
like atmosphere with great musical entertainment being provided by
local and
regional talent.
Over fifty vendors have fine art, arts & crafts and
food
items ranging from fresh roasted quesadillas to gourmet hamburgers.
This
year’s poster was created by Denise Stark. Join us in celebration of
a
great harvest and fine wine from La Viña Winery, just minutes from
Las
Cruces or El Paso. Take the Vinton Exit, #2 in Texas, west away from
the
mountains, approximately 4 miles to Highway 28, then right 1 mile to
the
winery, 4201 S. Highway 28, La Union NM. No pets or picnic baskets,
please.
Along with the dynamic Radio La Chusma and Frank Zona's Urban Edge;
Kat Crosby, a great blues vocalist, will be featured in the Kat Crosby Blues Band.
