Canutillo High School Senior Drew Norris lived a dream year and ended up in Austin at the State Golf Tourney Finals.

Not content with their district crown the Canutillo Eagles Softball team played some tough competition but losses ended their bid for a State Title.

Canutilo High School celebrated the prestige of several seniors receiving scholarships to several institutions of higher learning.

Sam Jensen, Canutillo High School sophomore, was selected to attend the Texas Governor’s School (TGS) from June 8-28 in Denton, Texas.

Students from Canutillo Middle School (CMS), in collaboration with El Paso Community College (EPCC) GEAR-UP program, presented a “Multicultural Fair”

Jaime Montes, Canutillo High School senior, has been awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall.

The familly oriented club took a ride East of Vado on the BLM land. The rides take place at different locations on the Westside and Upper Valley with a hot dog cookout afterwards.

Canutilo HS senior Alfonso Frias was accepted to the early program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Early Program.

With just one rainy day in May, the area has been spared an early West Nile Virus season.

Now under new management, R & R, had a small but happy crowd recently.

The value of a ton of Catapulted into Mexico’s First Division, Ciudad Juarez’s Indios soccer team is hot.

Recent questions about the quality or lack thereof by advertisers in the El Paso area were raised.

Silver City, New Mexico pulled another rabbit out of the had with their 13th Blues Festival. Feature performers like Zac Harmon and Sherman Robertson were sizzlying and played to a packed house at the Buffalo Dance Hall "Saturday Night Jam Session" after their performances. WestsideROX.com was there.
