There is no other entity, institution or industry other than farming itself that has shaped the Upper Valley as much as has Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

Now, ready to open for the 50th time, SPR&C has evovled into a modern state of the art premiere entertainment complex while at the same time engendering the continuation of breeding and training of great horses and the sustaining of agriculture in the valley.

The race track will once again have live racing beginning on December 12th and live racing ends on April 21st. The new $800,000 Sunland Derby (was previously the $600,000 Winstar Derby) will be held on March 29th, 2009.

SPR&C is open year round with simulcast racing and slot machine casino gambling.
