T
he southermost point in the Rocky Mountains happens designate our beloved Franklin Mountains. But, unlike its northern cousins and grand parents in Colorado, the Franklins don't have abundant forests of pines.
Although lush with desert vegetation; from afar the Franklins look a bit... well, naked.
So with that being the normal course of things in this part of the world, it is always great to see the Franklins dressed up a bit formally. Especially after some snow.
The clouds formed on the peaks as we photographed leaving the tops of the mountains with a silky smooth dressing of existential solidarity.
The red glow of a setting winter sun doesn't hurt. So, enjoy the photos of our very own piece of the Rocky Mountians.
