The UTEP vs. Texas football game in September brought with it a lot of renewed school spirit. Not only did UTEP get a big boost in popularity but also, so did Texas.

Now with Texas and Texas Tech both undefeated and Texas ranked # 1 and Tech ranked in the top ten; there are a surprising number of new shining emblems out in force.

Westsiders yearn for the day when their beloved UTEP Miners can share some of that limelight and make the Top 25 once again.
