T
he wonderful Cinderella story came not to a screeching halt at midnight, but, rather ended in a disappointing controlled stop. The Indios split the two game series against No. 1 seeded Pachuca. What makes the end for the Indios so sour is that they won their last game. But, it wasn't enough. It was Pachuca that advanced as they outscored the Indios 4-3 in total goal scored in the series.
The Indios had surprised everyone but perhaps themselves as they exceeded expectations and pulled the rabbit out of the hat when they needed to with wins and margin of victories against the right opponents.
Pachuca, No. 1 seeded, had outscored its opponents 20-2 during a 6-match streak before the match against the Indios on Sunday. Pachuca advances to play in the finals against the UNAM team.

The first goal scored by Pachuca catch the Indios with their pants down as Pachuca scored the first goal on a brilliant and precise kick to a racing Pachuca team member who wiht no defense in front of him, had little trouble kicking the ball right by the Indios goalie's right foot.
The Indios also had a lapse in defense as Pachuca scored on brilliant passing by Pachuca.
In the Sunday match, Pachuca took a 1-0 lead and almost shattered the Indios hopes to reach the finals as the Indios would need to now win 4-1. But, the magic continued and the Indios took the lead 3-1 and had a chance to win by a 3-goal margin but Pachuca's defense stiffened and Pachuca scored the last goal allowing the Indios to win by on one goal, 3-2.
