ranklin allowed San Angelo Central to dig them a huge hole... the Cougars were down 22-7 at halftime. But, then WestsideReader photographer showed up and the "Brax's C-O-M-E-B-A-C-K" was ON!
The Cougars came out in the second half ready for a comeback. Yes, there were down by double-digits with just a half of play to go... but part of that defecit was quick-strike scores by the Bobcats. Central's Daniel Perez had 177-yards on two kickoff returns with one in the first-quarter of 94-yards for a huge momentum building touchdown. So, if Cougars could get their offense untracked and plug a few holes on defense they would be right back into this game.

The Cougars did not disappoint. They took the ball and ran it down the Bobcat's throat on a ball-control, clock-eating drive to score a much needed touchdown to cut the lead to 22-14. The Cougars had regained the "MO" and were within one score. But, then lightning struck for the second time as SAC's Perez ran back another kickoff for 83-yards to put the Bobcats back up by 15-points at 29-14.
But, the Cougars were not done yet... or out of this catfight. The Cougars moved the ball down the field and into the red-zone to score for the second straight possesion, but had to settle for 3-pts. as Danile Moreno blasted a 25-yard field goal. Franklin had cut the lead to 12-pts. at 29-17 and the Cougars were not done yet... Franklin was just getting warmed up.
